Elon Musk is a South African business magnate, investor, engineer, founder, CEO, chief architect of SpaceX, co-founder, CEO, and product designer of Tesla Inc., and co-founder and CEO of Neuralink. He is a business mogul, engineer, and inventor known for founding and directing SpaceX, a company that aims to reduce the cost of building rockets with the ultimate goal of human multi-planetary colonization, and Tesla Motors, the company which makes electric cars.
Elon Musk – A visionary Leader
Elon Musk is seen as a visionary leader with advanced technologies in areas such as space exploration and sustainable energy. He is known for his aggressive approach to successful innovation, reflected in the innovative products he and his respective teams have brought to market. As the Tesla company aims to offer innovative products to its customers, Musk uses a transformative leadership style that emphasizes innovation and develops the skills of its employees to help the company perform better and create a competitive environment for competitors to bring innovation to the company (Yauney, 2018).
Elon Musk – Natural Motivator
The transformative management style motivates employees to offer them added value and increase their loyalty to the Tesla brand. As the author of CNBC (2017) pointed out, Elon Musk aims to break the ice by participating in Tesla’s innovation, which requires him to be innovative and challenging.

Elon Musk is considering working as a company employee to set standards that his colleagues can follow and implement.
Whatever contradictory opinions Musk holds about his employees or the public, nobody can deny that he is shaping the future one project at a time. Mr. Musk does not claim to apply a particular theory of leadership, but his leadership style is based on a variety of circumstances. He is a born-again leader of change who is trying to attack the environment and take big risks to prove that he is true to his vision.
Transformation leadership is about developing new ways of doing business. Addressing problems head-on, accepting failures, and skipping meetings as often as possible is a strategy Musk knows how to apply to his company on a daily basis.
